The Bodhi Manda Zen Center is dedicated to embodying American Rinzai Zen Buddhism through compassion and selfless service. We are a thriving and committed community of resident and lay practitioners that supports a diverse sangha by inspiration, education, and Zen practice.
Grant(s) Awarded
In 2024, a Women in Buddhism grant in the amount of $10,000 was awarded in order to support a weeklong Zen center retreat with female Buddhist teachers of various traditions. The retreat will feature silent sitting and walking meditation, chanting and dharma talks. The purpose is to allow both teacher and students a safe, supportive space to regenerate and grow spiritually, to give students female role models in their practice.
