Grant(s) Awarded
In 2022, a donation in the amount of $1,000 was given to support the ongoing work of BAFF.
In 2022, a grant was awarded for $5,000 to help defray the costs of the annual event which had been rescheduled from 2020 to June, 2022 due to Covid.
In 2019, a grant was awarded for $5,000 to Buddhist Arts and Film Festival to help defray the costs of hosting the event. The 2020 festival, which was re-scheduled to 2022 would have been an issue-based, educational, Buddhist-inspired festival focusing on service, action and advocacy for the underserved and underrepresented. The goal of the festival is to not simply call attention to these issues, but to begin a dialogue and offer tangible, hands on, action-oriented steps to resolve serious problems. The festival is not just for those who identify as Buddhists. Content is for anyone who may be interested in the basic themes of Buddhism–compassion, insight, awareness, and engaging in more beneficial relationships.
