Description of Organization
The Buddhist Arts and Film Festival (BAFF) is a nonprofit organization with the intention and the aspiration to benefit all beings by offering Buddhist inspired art, film, discussion and activities.
In 2019, a grant was awarded for $5,000 to Buddhist Arts and Film Festival to help defray the costs of hosting the event. The 2020 festival will be an issue-based, educational, Buddhist-inspired festival focusing on service, action and advocacy for the underserved and underrepresented. The goal of the festival is to not simply call attention to these issues, but to begin a dialogue and offer tangible, hands on, action-oriented steps to resolve serious problems. The festival is not just for those who identify as Buddhists. Content is for anyone who may be interested in the basic themes of Buddhism–compassion, insight, awareness, and engaging in more beneficial relationships.
