Description of Organization
Campesino Commons’ mission is to provide Spiritual support, funding, volunteer work and education to support self-directed projects in historically marginalized land steward communities. Vision: to co-create the right environment for communities to thrive through the practices of: traditional Dharma; restorative justice; healing through right relationships between land and people; supporting climate resiliency, and; decolonizing systems.
Grant(s) Awarded
In 2026, a donation in the amount of $1,000 was awarded to support their first public Liberacion Dharma cohort, teacher expenses, operational costs for LiberacionDharma, and fundraising for infrastructure expenses. Liberacion Dharma participants will engage in fundraising for Nueva Esperanza in Nicaragua, and Tierra Medicina in Colorado. This is to say that grant money for this program will multiply through fundraising efforts.
