Description of Organization
Inner Ocean is a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating personal and spiritual transformation through nurturing underserved communities using a regenerative leadership model. In pursuit of this, they offer in-person and online healing and educational opportunities as well as trauma-informed, healing-centered service immersions that make a lasting global impact.
With the help of their donors, they have provided holistic medical services to numerous communities throughout the world including Colorado, Standing Rock Reservation, India, Thailand, Nepal, and Burma. Serving in some of the most impoverished communities and during times of unprecedented disaster, we have offered healthcare and education to thousands of people across five different countries. In addition, they have built 10 year ’round free clinics accessible to rural communities in the Himalayas, trained over 100 women to become certified Community Health Workers, and created an ecosystem of wellness among our global family.
Grant(s) Awarded
In 2026, Inner Ocean received a $4,800 grant to launch Tend, Grow, Serve, a 12-month Buddhist fellowship for women in sacred service. This program blends Dharma study, trauma-informed care, and leadership development to empower BIPOC and low-income caregivers. The Lenz Foundation funding will support Buddhist mentorship, curriculum development, and teachings that guide participants to embody compassion and service as a path of liberation and community healing.
