Description of Organization
Lotus Treasure, established in 2014 is a non-profit that offers video, audio, photos, commentaries, and original Tibetan texts as supports for practice and sponsorship for Western American, translators and serious practitioners. Included in this is Rangjung Yeshe Publications and translations, a treasure trove of materials, many of which are offered for free download on the site, www.lotustreasure.com. The long-term aim is to help establish Tibetan Buddhist Dharma in America, to create programs for this end, and to preserve the legacy of the Hearing Lineage.
Grant(s) Awarded
In 2026, a grant of $6,300 was awarded to support: Treasuring the Feminine and Establishing the Dharma in the USA, a project fearlessly addressing important questions to facilitate empowering more women teachers and finding methods to adapt Vajrayana Buddhism into the American context. The current podcast series, on Spotify, fosters dialogue on gender roles and power structures, highlights great female practitioners of the past and present, and explores methods to plant Vajrayana in the USA.
