Description of Organization
The Mindfulness in Law Society was created in 2016. The purpose of the Mindfulness in Law Society is to provide a national umbrella organization to develop, promote, coordinate, and assess activities in the legal profession relating to mindfulness meditation and other contemplative practices. The goal is to reach law students, practitioners, judges, law librarians, and all others involved in the legal profession.
Grant(s) Awarded
In 2016, a grant in the amount of $25,000 was awarded to offset the cost of participation in the 2017 Southeastern Association of Law Schools Conference on Mindfulness. Additional funds were utilized for additional conference costs.
