Description of Organization

The mission of the Rama Meditation Society (RMS) is to preserve and share the body of works of Rama – Dr. Frederick Lenz, and to support the continued transformation of those inspired by his teachings.

Rama (Dr. Frederick Lenz), the founder of the Lenz Foundation, was an enlightened teacher born and raised in the United States. The Rama Meditation Society was formed by students of Rama. The mission of RMS is to preserve and share the body of works of Rama, and to support the continued transformation of those inspired by his teachings.

Rama’s teachings fill a unique place in the American Buddhist landscape through his practical techniques for meditation practitioners who live and work in the world. Rama’s teachings can help individuals who wish to pursue a meditative lifestyle to place their practice in the larger context of a life involving careers, relationships, family, physical health, and more.

The goals of the RMS are to:

• Share Rama’s teachings with others who can benefit from them
• Offer inspiring programs based on Rama’s teachings
• Nurture a supportive community of individuals inspired by Rama’s teachings
