Grant(s) Awarded

In 2018, a grant in the amount of $15,000 was awarded to Thubten Norbu Ling to help support the launch of a secular ethics training initiative that will be eligible for accreditation as continuing education training for professionals in multiple states. The overall goal of this initiative was to deliver a program that utilizes Buddhist wisdom and methods to help professionals reduce stress and burnout, and to work and live with increased contentment and productivity. The Lenz Foundation grant was used to develop specialized curriculum tailored to two professional industry segments. The first phase of the project involved completing the curriculum design, identifying and engaging industry partners, and securing accreditation of course materials by the appropriate industry entities. The second phase of the project featured training activities in New Mexico and an out-of-state location. Grant funds offset curriculum development expense as well as direct training costs (travel, venue fees, food for trainees, production of course materials, and compensation for facilitators).
